Growing Together is a countywide community working collectively to build a sustainable local foodscape. We are collaborating with all types of organizations that contribute to the local food source: community gardens, native and drought tolerant gardens that help our 'pollenators', urban farmers, local farms, CSAs, co-op organic growers, fruit gleaners, farmer's markets, backyard farm circles, etc. Under the title "Growing Together", these initiatives include:

1st Annual Contra Costa Urban Gardening and Farming Summit

SCOCO is planning a Growing Together Summit. If you would like to participate, join the Growing Together Group on the SCOCO Network.

A survey and report on the state of urban gardening and farming in Contra Costa

SCOCO is also launched a multi-faceted initiative to document and support urban gardening and farming in Contra Costa County.
If you are involved in an urban gardening or farming project in Contra Costa County, please take a minute to complete our survey questionnaire. The information you provide is critical for drafting a report that truly represents the scope and scale of the urban food production movement in this county.
