It's Time for a Change ...
Sustainable Contra Costa is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization started in 2007 by five Contra Costa residents passionate about promoting sustainable practices within our community. SCOCO's goal is to move the sustainability movement into the consciousness of the masses so that our children are healthier, our economy stronger and our world remains a viable place to live for generations to come. Our programs serve to educate, connect, and inspire people to make their homes, schools, businesses, community, and lives more sustainable.
Contra Costa's First 350 Home & Garden Challenge - what will your action be?
May 12-13, Contra Costa citizens collectively taking 350 actions to grow food, save water, conserve energy, and build our community stronger, healthier, cleaner, and more resilient. That's the goal of Contra Costa County's First Annual 350 Home & Garden Challenge. Let the 350 Challenge inspire YOU to undertake a project or two that you've been meaning to do for years. We invite you, your organizations, and businesses to rise to the challenge and help us meet our goal!
